A copy of a valid in date First Aid at Work Certificate for each attendee is required prior to the training (in some cases we can re-qualify an individual up to one month after their certificate has expired).

Course Duration
12 Hours (2 Days)
This can be broken down into smaller training units to suit your requirements. Training must be completed over a maximum of six weeks.
This course is delivered using a range of techniques including, instructor led presentation, group practice, group discussion, PowerPoint, video presentation.
Course Assessment
All delegates will be continually assessed, but on the final day of the course there will be a practical evaluation by an external assessor who has not been involved in the teaching of the course. Our assessors are trained to carry out the assessments in a low stress environment and to instill confidence in all attendees.
Course Certification
All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate approved by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), valid for three years.
Should you wish to host this course on your own site you will need a room that will comfortably seat your amount of delegates and also allow for floor practice during the course. Two additional assessment areas are also required on the final afternoon of the course.

This course is subject to on-going assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is no final assessment. The Instructor confirms knowledge and understanding through practice sessions as the training progresses to ensure the delegate fully understand the material.
Course Certification
All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate which meets all the requirements laid down by Sure Start for Nannies registering on The Childcare Approval Scheme; this certificate is valid for three years.

This course is delivered using a range of techniques including, instructor led presentation, group practice, group discussion, PowerPoint, video presentation, and casualty simulation exercises.
Course Assessment
This course has continual assessment by the Instructors to confirm the delegates’ knowledge and understanding, and through a range of casualty simulation exercises to make sure the first aid given is effective, safe and prompt, and the standard operating procedures are followed for emergency management. With a final multiple choice exam upon completion of the course.
Course Certification
The course contents covers first aid requirements for the national Governing body awards, WGL, ML(S), ML(W), SPA, MI, MIC, IML, and BCU coaching and instructor awards.
All successful delegates will be awarded a certificate valid for three years.
Should you wish to host this course on your own site you will need a room that will comfortably seat your amount of delegates and also allow for floor practice during the course, an additional external space is also required for the casualty simulation exercises.
