Paediatric First Aid 12hr 2 Days

The aims and objectives of the 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid course are to enable those persons working within childcare to have a sound knowledge and understanding of adult, child and baby first aid procedures and meets the EYFS and OFSTED requirements.

All attendees will also be able to recognise childhood medical conditions and carry out the correct emergency treatment required until medical professionals arrive to assist.

Course Duration
12 Hours (2 Days)

This can be broken down into smaller training units to suit your requirements. Training must be completed over a maximum of six weeks.

This course is delivered using a range of techniques including, instructor led presentation, group practice, group discussion, PowerPoint, video presentation.

Course Assessment
This course is subject to on-going assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is theory assessment along with a short practical assessment at the end of day two. All assessments are carried out in a low stress environment by the Instructor leading the course.

Course Certification
All successful delegates will be awarded a certificate which meets all the requirements laid down by Sure Start, OFSTED and the NCMA; this certificate is valid for three years.

Should you wish to host this course on your own site you will need a room that will comfortably seat your amount of delegates, and also allow for floor practice during the course. An additional assessment areas is beneficial for the assessments on the final afternoon of the course.
